Programme Description

The Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management focuses on the theory and framework of organisational manpower to help students develop an understanding of how it is best managed. The curriculum provide students with a critical appreciation of an organisation and structures of employee relations, operations, training and development, recruitment and current developments in employee relation policies. The essential education draws on examples of dealing with the workforce and introducing major dimensions of organisation workforce across boundaries. Students will be trained with business and communication skills required to optimise the potential of employees.

Programme Aims

Prepare students with the knowledge and skills to be applied in different types of organization as well to develop students with strong business principles and tools for any types of organization and maintain professionalism in dealing with employees’ issues and organisation changes.

Career Prospects

Career opportunities in specialised human resource field include Human Resource Manager, Recruitment and Selection Manager, Training Development Manager, Organisation Development Manager, Industrial Relations Manager, OSH Manager and a range of managerial positions in an organisation.

Entry Requirements

    • A pass in STPM, with a minimum Grade C(GP2.00) in any 2 subjects, and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or any equivalent qualification; or
    • A pass in Matriculation /Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
    • A pass in Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with a minimum Grade B in any 5 subjects including Mathematics and English; or
    • A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid. and a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level; or
    • A pass in A-Level with Full pass in any 2 subjects and distinction in Mathematics at O-level or equivalent; or
    • Any qualifications equivalent to Diploma or Advanced Diploma with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; or
    • Other equivalent qualification approved by Ministry of education; and
    • International students are required to achieve a minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS OR its equivalent.
